Company History

Schwab-Eaton Engineers was founded in 1957 by Merle Schwab and Frank Eaton.

The first years at the firm were spent designing roads and bridges for counties throughout Kansas and the Midwest. As the firm grew, they took on larger engineering challenges, including an 11-mile stretch of highway through the rugged Appalachian Mountains of eastern Kentucky and a 40-mile stretch of pioneer highway through the Darien Jungle in the Republic of Panama. Much has changed since those early years. Today, Schwab Eaton, is a multi-disciplinary organization, including civil engineers, land surveyors, landscape architects, and support personnel. We offer a broad range of design and engineering services to assist with every phase of a project’s development. To better serve clients, we have four offices, located in Manhattan, Wichita, Beloit, and Salina, Kansas.
