The Field House Condominiums are a luxury condo development located near KSU’s Bill Snyder Family Stadium and Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas. Schwab-Eaton collaborated with a local architect to design the site and landscape improvements including parking, a large retaining wall, water feature, and on-site utilities. The condominium building had to be built over the top of an existing storm drainage pipe, which discharged into a small detention pond. Schwab-Eaton redesigned the pond to accommodate new storm drainage flows, and, in the process, created an attractive water feature with a central geyser fountain. In order to increase the volume of the pond, a 15-foot high CMU retaining wall was constructed along the west edge of the pond. The wall stone matches the architecture of the building. A large patio sits atop the wall overlooking the pond, and provides residents with panoramic views of the stadium.
