Schwab Eaton worked with the Smith Center School District on complete replacement of track and field facilities at Hubbard Track. The original facilities were well past their useful life and no longer met the needs of the School District's athletic programs. The new construction consisted of a new eight lane 400-meter track with one chute, subgrade stabilization and subdrain system, a new javelin runway, two long-jump/triple jump pits and a new pole vault pad and box at the ends of the existing runways, two shot put sectors and three practice areas, two discus areas, and storm drainage improvements. A new synthetic running surface was applied on the track, high jump, and field event runways.
