Schwab-Eaton provided engineering services to Ducks Unlimited and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) for several projects at the Jamestown Wildlife Area, located in North-Central Kansas. The wildlife area encompasses approximately 2,250 acres including multiple marshes and wetland areas. Schwab-Eaton prepared a feasibility study and construction documents for improvements within and around the Gun Club marsh. These improvements have allowed the KDWP to better manage the area’s water resources, improved wildlife habitat, enhanced hunting opportunities for the public, and ultimately lengthened the life of this unique and critical marsh complex.
